Spain is a distance job. Madrid is roughly 1,600 km from the Channel ports, and EU drivers’-hours rules cap a driving day — so the honest figure is two to three days, with two achievable on a well-planned dedicated run and three the safer assumption for groupage or the far corners.
Distance rewards planning more than any other factor. Tell us the deadline when you book and we will plan the run backwards from it — the route down through France, where the driver’s breaks fall, and which day each city genuinely supports.
Where we deliver in Spain
Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao are the runs we quote most, and they split usefully: Bilbao and the north coast are the near end, a full day closer than the south. A dedicated vehicle can deliver anywhere — Seville, Zaragoza, Málaga, or an industrial estate between.

Transit times: what to actually expect
Typically two to three days. The constraint is not the vehicle — it is the law: a driver may drive nine hours a day, ten twice a week, so 1,600 km plus a Channel crossing is a two-day run at best. Bilbao, several hundred kilometres nearer, sits at the quick end; Valencia and the south at the far end.
Those are typical figures, not promises. Since Brexit every consignment clears customs before it moves, and on a run this long the difference between day two and day three is usually decided before the vehicle ever leaves the UK — in the booking and the paperwork.
Dedicated or groupage to Spain
A dedicated run means your goods travel alone, direct from collection to the delivery address with no transhipment. On a lane this long that matters twice over: it is faster, and nothing is loaded or unloaded around your consignment for two days straight — the right choice for urgent, fragile or high-value loads.

Customs and paperwork
Spain is in the EU, so goods from Great Britain need export and import declarations, cleared at the Channel border before the long road leg begins. A paperwork delay at Calais on day one arrives in Madrid as a missed delivery on day three.
Book early and tell us exactly what is being shipped. That lets us start the declarations before the vehicle moves — on the longest lanes, the earliest hour is the cheapest one to save.

The vehicle is tracked throughout, and our office team check progress through the day and come back to you when there is something worth telling you — which, on a three-day run across two borders, is exactly what you want from a courier.
