Milan, Turin, Rome and Bologna are the runs we quote most, and the shape of the country sets the timetable: the northern industrial triangle first, then the long leg down the peninsula. A dedicated vehicle can deliver anywhere — Verona, Florence, Naples, or a factory gate between.

Transit times: what to actually expect
Typically two to three days. Milan is around a thousand kilometres from the Channel ports — a solid two-day run under drivers’-hours rules — and Rome adds another six hundred, which is what pushes the far end to day three.
Those are typical figures, not promises. An Alpine tunnel can queue and a border can be slow, and since Brexit every consignment clears customs before it moves. Because the vehicle is tracked throughout, you will know about a delay when it happens — not on the delivery date.
Dedicated or groupage to Italy
A dedicated run means your goods travel alone, direct from collection to the delivery address with no transhipment — fastest, and the right choice for urgent, fragile or high-value loads on a lane where the vehicle is on the road for two days or more.

Customs and paperwork
Italy is in the EU, so goods from Great Britain need export and import declarations, cleared at the Channel border before the long road leg begins. On a lane this long, a paperwork delay on day one compounds by day three.
Book early and tell us exactly what is being shipped. That lets us start the declarations before the vehicle moves and keep the timetable about roads and tunnels, not forms.
