Germany is a big country, and the honest answer on timing depends on which end of it you need. The Rhineland — Cologne and Düsseldorf — starts around 400 km from the Channel ports and is typically a next-day run. Munich and Berlin are two to three times the distance, and typically land on day two.

Transit times: what to actually expect
The spread in the card is real: one to two days depending on the exact destination. Cologne is around 400 km from Calais — comfortably inside a driving day. Berlin is around 940 km and Munich further still, which under EU drivers’-hours rules typically means a second day, not a heroic first one.
Those are typical figures, not promises. Since Brexit every consignment clears customs before it moves, so a German delivery with a hard date needs to be booked as exactly that — early, with the contents declared, so the paperwork never becomes the delay.
Dedicated or groupage to Germany
A dedicated run means your goods travel alone, direct from collection to the delivery address with no transhipment — fastest, and the right choice for urgent, fragile or high-value loads, particularly on the longer legs where a missed connection costs a full day.

Customs and paperwork
Germany is in the EU, so goods from Great Britain need export and import declarations, cleared at the Channel border before the road leg begins. On a run where the driving already takes most of two days, paperwork delay is the one cost you can actually avoid.
