European courier to the Netherlands
Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven — typically next-day.
The Netherlands sits at the heart of the next-day corridor. Whether the vehicle crosses at Calais and runs up through Belgium, or takes a direct North Sea sailing into Hoek van Holland or Rotterdam, the Randstad cities are typically a next-day delivery from anywhere in the UK.
Typically, not guaranteed — since Brexit every consignment clears customs before it moves, and the honest way to hit a specific day is to tell us about it when you book, so we can pick the route and crossing that give your deadline the most room.
Where we deliver in the Netherlands
Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven are the runs we quote most, and the Dutch motorway network makes the rest of the country a short extension of them. A dedicated vehicle can deliver anywhere — Groningen to Maastricht.
- Rotterdam — Europe’s largest port and the natural first stop
- Amsterdam and the Randstad
- Utrecht — the crossroads of the Dutch motorway network
- Eindhoven and the tech corridor in the south
Transit times and routes
There are two ways in: the short Channel crossing at Calais followed by a road leg up through Belgium — around 370 km from the port to Amsterdam — or a direct North Sea sailing, such as Harwich to Hoek van Holland, which lands the vehicle practically inside the Randstad.
Either way the Netherlands is typically next-day. We pick the route per job, based on where the collection is, the schedules on the day, and which option protects your deadline better — and because the vehicle is tracked throughout, you will know where your goods are at every stage.
Dedicated or groupage to the Netherlands
A dedicated run means your goods travel alone, direct from collection to the delivery address with no transhipment — fastest, and the right choice for urgent, fragile or high-value loads.
Groupage costs considerably less and suits consignments where a day either side is not critical. The Dutch corridor is one of the busiest in Europe, so shared capacity is rarely far away. Unsure which fits? Tell us the deadline and the contents and we will tell you honestly which one to book.
Customs and paperwork
The Netherlands is in the EU, so goods from Great Britain need export and import declarations, and Dutch ports require freight to be pre-notified through the Portbase system before it arrives — undeclared vehicles are simply not admitted.
That makes the booking call the most important part of the journey. Book early, tell us exactly what is being shipped, and the paperwork travels ahead of the vehicle instead of holding it up.
Collection anywhere in the UK
We are based in Northamptonshire and collect nationwide, so a Dutch delivery can start from any UK address. From our base both options are within easy reach — the Channel crossings to the south, Harwich to the east — which is exactly the flexibility a deadline-sensitive Dutch run wants.
Good to know.
