Tender Document Courier for Same-Day Submission
One driver, one bid, straight to the buyer
A tender that arrives late is usually rejected, however good the bid. If your submission has to be delivered physically, the courier is the last link in weeks of work, and it should be the one you worry about least.
A tender document courier is a dedicated driver who collects your sealed bid and takes it straight to the named address. It is not passed between depots or sorted with other parcels. We run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and dispatch anywhere in the UK, so the deadline sets the plan rather than our opening hours.
Why a dedicated driver suits a tender
A bid is a single, unrepeatable item with a hard cut-off. Network parcel services move it through sorting stages you cannot see or influence. A dedicated job removes those stages: the driver collects from you and goes to the buyer, carrying nothing else.
That also means we can work backwards from the deadline. You give us the cut-off and the delivery address, and the collection time is set to leave a margin rather than to arrive on the last minute.
What to tell us when you book
Most late or rejected deliveries trace back to something missing at booking. Have these ready:
- The exact deadline, with the time and date from the tender instructions
- The full delivery address, including any named room, floor or department
- Who receives it, and whether reception, a tenders box or a named person must accept it
- How many packages there are, and roughly how large and heavy
- A contact on your side who can answer the phone at collection
- Any labelling, reference number or sealing requirement the buyer has set
Packing and sealing a bid
Follow the buyer’s instructions first. Many ask for plain, unmarked packaging with no company branding, or for a specific label and reference. If the instructions are strict, copy them exactly and tell the driver.
Beyond that, keep the practical points simple. Use a rigid box or document case for bound volumes so corners are not crushed. Keep bound copies and any USB sticks together in the same outer pack, and label every part. If the tender asks for several copies, count them out before sealing and write the total on your own checklist.
Which vehicle fits
A single folder or one bound copy travels well in a small van. A full submission with multiple copies, appendices and sample items needs more space, so tell us the number and size of boxes and we will advise on the right size.
Our vehicle range runs from small vans upwards, and it is listed on the vehicles page. If your bid includes a physical sample or a large model, say so at booking.
Common mistakes that cost a bid
- Booking at the deadline instead of leaving a margin for traffic and building access
- Giving only a company name, with no street address, floor or receiving contact
- Not checking whether the buyer accepts hand delivery, or only an online portal
- Sealing the pack before counting the copies or including every required form
- Having nobody available at collection to hand over and confirm the package
