Same Day Parcel Courier

Urgent parcel delivery on a dedicated vehicle, collected and delivered direct

LOCAL COVERAGE
▲Dedicated collection, direct delivery
▲No hubs and no sorting
▲Dispatched anywhere in the UK
▲Open 24 hours, 365 days a year

An urgent parcel usually fails in the middle, not at either end. On a parcel network it is collected, taken to a hub, sorted with thousands of others and put on another vehicle. Each step adds time you cannot see and cannot control.

Our same day parcel courier service removes the middle. One vehicle collects your parcel and takes it straight to the delivery address. The driver is carrying your parcel and nobody else’s, so the only thing deciding when it arrives is the journey itself.

How a same day parcel job runs

We dispatch anywhere in the UK, and we run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. That includes nights, weekends and bank holidays, so an urgent parcel is not held until the next working morning because of when it was booked.

Once the job is booked, a vehicle is allocated to it alone. It goes to the collection address, loads, and drives to the delivery address. There is no consolidation with other customers’ goods and no stop at a depot on the way.

Choosing the right vehicle for a parcel

Most parcels fit a small van, which takes one pallet or up to 350kg. It is the most economical dedicated option, and for a single box, a set of documents or a small component it is usually all you need.

Step up when the parcel is not really a parcel. Several boxes that together fill a pallet footprint, a heavy item, or something long all point to a larger van. Tell us the size and weight and we will match the vehicle, rather than sending a small van that cannot take the load.

What to tell us when you book

  • Collection and delivery addresses, with postcodes
  • Number of parcels, and the size and weight of each, measured rather than guessed
  • Whether anything is fragile, valuable or must stay upright
  • The latest time the parcel must arrive, and why it matters
  • A contact name and mobile number at both ends
  • Any access limits: appointment-only sites, loading bays, security or reception sign-in

Packing an urgent parcel so it arrives intact

A dedicated vehicle removes the rough handling of a sorting hub, but the parcel still travels on the road, so pack it as though it will be moved around. Use a rigid outer box that is not bulging or crushed, and fill empty space so the contents cannot shift.

Put heavy items at the bottom, wrap fragile contents individually, and tape every seam. Mark the box clearly with the delivery address and a contact number, and put a second copy inside in case the label is damaged.

If you are sending several parcels, number them (1 of 4, 2 of 4) so the receiver can check the count on arrival.

Common mistakes with urgent parcels

  • Booking a van for a parcel that is far larger or heavier than described
  • Leaving out the contact number of the person who will actually receive it
  • Forgetting that the delivery site closes before the parcel can arrive
  • Sending items that are not ready, so the driver waits at collection
  • Putting a business name on the label but no floor, unit or loading bay

When a different service is the better fit

Same day is for parcels that cannot wait. If the delivery is not time-critical, our next-day courier service may suit better. If the load is larger than a van, a larger vehicle is the answer instead.

The easiest way to find out what a job needs is to put the details into the instant quote tool, or tell us what you are sending and we will advise.

FAQ

Good to know.

Anything not covered here, call us — a specialist picks up, not a call queue.

What does same day parcel courier mean here?

It means your parcel is collected by a dedicated vehicle and driven direct to the delivery address, with no depot, hub or sorting stage in between. Because nothing else is in the way, the journey is as fast as the route allows.

Can you collect and deliver outside office hours?

Yes. We run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including weekends and bank holidays. If the parcel is ready and the delivery address can receive it, there is no cut-off that stops us moving it.

How far can you deliver a parcel?

We dispatch anywhere in the UK. Tell us the two postcodes when you book and we will confirm how the job will run before you commit.

What size of parcel can you take?

Anything from a single envelope to a pallet’s worth of boxes goes in a small van, which carries one pallet or up to 350kg. Larger or heavier consignments move in a bigger van or truck, so give us the real dimensions and weight and we will choose the right one.

Do I need to be there at collection and delivery?

Someone needs to be able to hand over the parcel and someone needs to be able to receive it. They do not have to be you, but a named contact with a working mobile number at each end avoids delays.

How do I know the parcel has arrived?

You get proof of delivery when the parcel is handed over. Check the details with the person receiving it and report any damage or missing parcels immediately.
