Temperature Controlled Transport in Nottingham
Chilled and refrigerated consignments across Nottingham and the East Midlands
Nottingham is on our own corridor. The M1 runs from our base in Northamptonshire straight up to Junctions 24, 25 and 26, which is why East Midlands chilled work is some of the most straightforward we do — and why a same-day refrigerated run in either direction is realistic rather than optimistic.
The job goes on one dedicated vehicle with one driver, loaded once and driven direct. There is no depot in the middle, so there is no point where the consignment leaves the controlled environment.
On the M1 corridor
Nottingham is served by M1 Junctions 24, 25 and 26, with the A52 and A453 feeding in from either side and East Midlands Airport a few minutes down the motorway at Junction 23A. For temperature-controlled work that matters: it means a collection can be reached quickly and a delivery can leave in almost any direction without crossing a city.
It also means we are not routing around a problem to get there. Nottingham sits on the same motorway as our base, which is the shortest kind of chilled journey there is — one road, one vehicle, no handovers.
What we move chilled in the East Midlands
- Chilled food and ingredients between production, wholesale and retail
- Pharmaceutical stock and clinical materials between sites
- Laboratory samples and pathology specimens
- Ambient-sensitive goods that must not freeze or overheat in transit
How the vehicle is sourced
Temperature-controlled capacity comes from vetted carriers in our network, chosen for the consignment and dispatched by us. Whoever drives it, one company plans the job, holds the booking and answers for it through to proof of delivery — you deal with the same office throughout.
